Explore cosmopolitan Murcia, the capital city of southeastern Spain. Kick off your moderate, half-day tour with a visit to Fuensanta Monastery, a place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages. Within the Old City, you can sightsee, browse the shops and explore on your own. See the Cathedral of Murcia, built within 400 years in different artistic styles, Renaissance and baroque styles, and the expansive Plaza Cardenal Belluga, home to the Bishop's Palace and the Town Hall. The Glorieta de Espana offers a tranquil place to stroll. Next, travel to Murcia's Royal Casino, one of the most emblematic buildings in the city and an eclectic mix of influences from the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. As you re-join your motorcoach for the scenic return drive, enjoy expert commentary on the passing sights. When you find yourself back in Cartagena, see the highlights on your return to port.
