You can't help but be enchanted by the stirring sites that fill this half-day tour. From the pier, you'll head to Convento de la Popa, a 17th century convent atop La Popa, a 492-foot-high hill that overlooks Cartagena. Step inside the chapel and be awed by the ornate, 22-karat gold-leaf altar. You'll then proceed to the Old City for a walk past some of the finest examples of preserved colonial architecture in the Americas. View churches, monasteries and plazas as you stroll to Saint Peter Claver Church, built between 1580 and 1654 in tribute to the protector of slaves. Another point of interest is Bolivar Plaza, with the Cathedral on one side and the Inquisition Palace on the other. Next stop is the San Sebastian del Pastelillo, a fortress constructed in the mid-1700s. Today it's home to the Club de Pesca Restaurant where you'll enjoy delicious Caribbean appetizers.
