Nature, wildlife and the Old City come alive on this combination tour. Your tour begins with a scenic drive along the coastline to the town of La Boquilla, the mangrove area located on the eastern side of Cartagena. Here, you'll board a canoe and relax as the captain poles you through the mangrove tunnels and across a shallow lake. This area is rich with waterfowl, so be sure to look for the colorful mangrove crabs and local and season birds. Next, you'll return to the Old City and embark on a walking tour through the colonial town with your guide. Your next stop is Las Bóvedas, once dungeons, now home to boutiques and tourist shops. Shopping for handicrafts and works of art by local artisans is on the itinerary, as is Calle de los Estribos.
