WHAT YOU WILL VISIT
Table Mountain - No visit to Cape Town is complete without a visit to this magnificent landmark. Rising more than 3,500 feet (1,000 meters) above sea level and measuring 2 miles (3 kilometers) across, the plateau looms dramatically over the southern edge of the city. Arrive at the base and board your cable car for a 4-minute ascent to the summit, enjoying stunning vistas as your gondola rotates 360 degrees. At the top, gaze out over Cape Town, the breathtaking seacoast and down along the peninsula to Cape Point. Wander the trails to enjoy the mountain's own natural beauty. The area features abundant wildlife and one of the highest concentrations of native plants in the world, a staggering 2,285 species - more than the entire United Kingdom.

WHAT YOU WILL SEE ALONG THE WAY
Cape Town Sightseeing - Return by motorcoach to the city center and enjoy a brief tour along Adderley Street, Cape Town's principal thoroughfare. Pass by South Africa's oldest church, the Groote Kerk (the original building was erected in 1678) and the Castle of Good Hope, built in the 1650s as a fortress guarding the sea. (After land reclamation, the fort now lies inland.) Continue exploring the 'Mother City,' with its many finely preserved Edwardian and Victorian buildings. On your way to the airport, pass by the famous Groote Schuur Hospital, where Dr. Christaan Barnard performed the first human heart transplant in 1967.
