Revel in nature during a whitewater rafting expedition on the Barron River with Grade II and III rapids that boast names like Face Wash, Cheese Churn, and Hell's Gate. Don't worry, all the equipment is provided and a seasoned professional will instruct you every step of the way. Once you arrive at the water's edge, you'll meet your expertly trained guide who will offer a full safety briefing. After you don your life jacket and helmet you'll step into the raft. Enjoy drifting by the lush trees that provides a pleasant respite from the tropical heat as the cool waters invigorate your senses. Then, shove off for two hours of thrills and spills. But be prepared to get wet as you and your fellow rafters maneuver the raft through the waves, over bumpy riverbeds or stretches of water so calm you can pull out your waterproof camera and take memorable photos of the stunning scenery.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Your adventure begins as you board your coach bound for the Barron River, tucked inside the Barron Gorge National Park. Just 30 minutes from Cairns, the Park is recognized the world over as part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, a region famous for its rugged mountains, steep gorges, and pristine waterways.

Special Notes:

Please wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, plenty of biodegradable sunscreen and bring bottled water.

Please wear your swimsuit under your clothing, bring a towel & change of clothes.

Prior rafting experience not required.

A minimum participation age of 12 years applies, no wheelchair access. Every participant must sign a liability form.

Walking over various terrain, inclines, declines, dirt paths and wet surfaces. Guests may be required to assist in carrying the inflatable vessel to the water over slippery surfaces. Guests should wear shoes that can get wet and are secured to the feet (not flip flops)

Please leave all jewellery and valuables in your room safe onboard
