WHAT YOU VISIT
Kuranda Village
A picturesque mountain retreat inside the World Heritage Rainforest, Kuranda Village is yours to explore on your own. Enjoy free time to browse through the many art and craft studios, visit the Australian Butterfly Farm (at your own expense) or sit back in a café and watch the colorful and vibrant village life go by.
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway Gondola
Soar like a golden bowerbird over four miles of the Rainforest tucked inside a Skyrail Rainforest Cableway gondola. Peer out the windows and witness the spectacular views of the region and vistas of the sparkling North Queensland coast out to the Coral Sea and Green Island. As the gondola gently floats down to the floor below take a walk to the Rainforest Interpretive Centre and Red Peak Station, where you'll have the opportunity to gain an insight into the intricate ecosystems that make up the rain forest.
Kuranda Scenic Railway
Built between 1886 to 1891 to connect Cairns with the North Queensland goldfields, the railway offers sights of deep gorges and rugged mountains, taking you past magnificent waterfalls, through 15 tunnels and across 37 bridges on your journey up the Kuranda Ranges-part of Barron Gorge National Park.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
En route to Kuranda Village, you'll cross the Barron River and ascend the lush rainforest slopes of the Kuranda Range while enjoying views of Cairns, the surrounding cane fields and the Coral Sea.

The train is equipped with bench-style seating and is not air-conditioned. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for guests with mobility limitations. Guests with a fear of heights or who suffer from vertigo or claustrophobia should assess their ability to participate. Join the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway aboard a 6 passenger scenic gondola ride (approx 1hr 15mins) to Caravonica Station, where your coach will meet you and transfer you back to the ship.
