Make yourself comfortable aboard your coach as you make your way across the Barron River and ascend the lush rainforest slopes of the Kuranda Range while enjoying views of Cairns, the surrounding cane fields and the Coral Sea. Soon, you'll arrive at Kuranda Village. Surrounded by the world's oldest living tropical rainforest, the village is known for its arts and crafts. After you disembark, you'll have free time to browse the many shops and markets for exotically handcrafted goods, Aboriginal artifacts, and more. Next, you'll board the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Once you've settled in your seat, the train will chug its way through the Kuranda Mountains, with magnificent views of Australia's World Heritage Rainforest, steep ravines and picturesque waterfalls, crossing 37 bridges and traveling through 15 tunnels. A photo stop at Barron Falls Lookout boasts spectacular views of Barron Falls cascading over 800 feet through the Kuranda rainforest.

The train is equipped with bench-style seating and is not air-conditioned. Bring cash or credit cards for additional purchases. Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the day's conditions. Bring a hat, adequate sun protection and insect repellent. Sequence of tour stops may vary. Guests with visual and/or hearing impairments or travelling in a wheelchair must travel with a companion at all times throughout the tour.Please note the market stalls are open Wednesday to Sunday only.
