Renowned as one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World," Green Island is a picture-perfect paradise located within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park World Heritage Area. Not only is it filled with not-to-be-missed activities but it's an ideal place for family memory-making. Even better, you have an entire day to relax and take things slow or go gun-ho with a number of exhilarating adventures. Be sure to wear a bathing suit, change of clothes and bring along a hat, towel, and sunscreen and have an underwater camera handy to capture the abundant marine life and bring local currency. When you arrive by catamaran, you'll embark on a glass-bottom boat tour or secure your snorkel equipment. Then take a self-guided walk around the island, stroll through the rainforest, go parasailing, check out Marineland Melanesia or stop in the many shops and cafés that line the boardwalk.
