Once you've found that perfect souvenir, your adventure continues aboard the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Built between 1886 and 1891 to connect Cairns with the North Queensland goldfields, the route is a photographer's delight. The spectacular ride offers sights of deep gorges and rugged mountains, taking you past magnificent waterfalls, through 15 tunnels and across 37 bridges on your journey up the Kuranda Ranges-part of Barron Gorge National Park.
