Sea of Cortez Zodiac Raft & Snorkel

Board your Zodiac, skippered by an experienced eco-guide, directly at the pier. Participate in a safety briefing and orientation. Then, you're off! This high-speed thrill ride takes you to Land's End for photo opportunities of the famed Lover's Beach, the sea lion colony, and the towering rock formation known as El Arco. After seeing some of the area's most noted sights, head eastward across the bay, then along the coast.

Chileno Bay is the first snorkeling site you will visit. Explore the crystal waters and the variety of marine life. Reboard your Zodiac via a small aluminum ladder at the back of the boat, enjoy a refreshing drink, and then cruise to the lovely Santa Maria Cove for your second snorkeling experience.

Both of these bays are protected marine sanctuaries known for their remarkably clear waters since they are sheltered from the more turbulent water and wind coming off the Sea of Cortez. During your snorkeling excursion you will see a spectacular display of Mother Nature at her best. Colorful corals, sponges, and bright urchins can be found along with an endless array of tropical fish. Pods of dolphins and schools of manta rays have also been spotted.

The tranquil waters make snorkeling a pleasure and the calm bay welcomes all levels. Snorkeling equipment is included as well as bottled water and soft drinks. Your return ride to the pier is a Zodiac-lovers delight.

Special Notes:

This excursion uses 24ft inflatable-sided Zodiac boats and the ride can be rough; pregnant women and passengers with back/neck injuries are not permitted on this excursion.
Snorkeling is from the boat, and snorkel sites may vary with sea and wind conditions. Snorkeling equipment including snorkel vest are provided and must be worn. Passengers should have basic swimming skills. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, hat, and reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind of sunscreen is allowed in the water). To avoid sunburn, bring light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Sunglasses and a hat are suggested. No restroom or changing facility on the boat.Minimum age is 8 to participate. Once participants join their tour, they will be required to complete a liability waiver.

Medical Restriction:

Passengers cannot participate if pregnant or with recent neck or back injuries.
