Enjoy a panoramic tour of some of the fascinating sites along Brittany's north coast. In the 5th century, Welsh and Irish immigrants landed here on their mission to bring Christianity to Brittany. Called the Coast of Legends, the rugged seaboard is a mixture of small capes, rocky islets and large estuaries (abers). The picturesque drive takes you to Plouguerneau, home to the tallest stone lighthouse in Europe. At 279 feet, the lighthouse stands guard over the coast, which is finely decked out in golden sandy beaches and ever-changing landscapes. From here, you'll travel to the little harbor of Porsall, the village of Aber Wrac'h, and Aber Benoit, a coastal inlet. Final stop is the rocky promontory of Saint Mathieu Point, where you'll have free time to explore the ruins of Saint Mathieu Abbey, which date from the 12th and 13th centuries.
