Cider is to Brittany what wine is to the rest of France. And the apple growing province of Brittany is acclaimed for its cider, which is characterized by rich, robust and rustic aromas with notes of fruits and flowers. To learn more about cider, you'll travel to the quaint medieval village of Le Faou, listed as one of the most beautiful in France with the lovely timbered houses and the distinctive 16th century Saint Sauveur Church. Then reach Musée Vivant des Vieux Métiers and meet the team of volunteers in a welcoming setting about the crafts and trades of yesteryear represented in over 15 workshops. During the tour, you'll learn the process of making cider and how to appreciate different types of cider. The highlight of your visit may be the cider sampling and crepes made by the volunteers. After your taste of Brittany, you'll make a photo stop at the impressive Terenez Bridge, which offers splendid views of Armorique National Park.
