Visit the stunning Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, a world-class attraction of modern art by famed architect Frank Gehry, and then enjoy the city on your own on this half-day excursion. The museum's curvaceous design of flowing titanium and limestone gives a nod to Bilbao's heritage with its suggestion of maritime shapes, sails and fish scales. Explore the changing modern art exhibits from its vast collection. Afterwards, you'll have free time to leisurely explore. Your guide will give you some information to explore the city during the free time. The Old Quarter is home to chic boutiques, perfume stores, cafes and restaurants. Stroll past the 14th century Gothic cathedral, the Arriaga Theater, the Plaza Nueva and the Bilbao Ria, which separates the old and the new city.

Due to current health restrictions the visit inside the Guggenheim Museum will be unguided. Bring your own headset or headphones.Due to increased security, bags cannot be taken into the Guggenheim Museum and must be checked at the entrance. Photography or video filming is not permitted inside the Guggenheim Museum.
The Guggenheim Museum is generally open on Mondays July thru August. When the museum is closed on Monday, there will be a special opening arranged for guests on this Princess tour.
Exhibits within the Guggenheim are subject to change; therefore we are unable to guarantee exactly which collections will be on display.
Most stores in the Old Quarter are closed on Sundays and during lunch.
The Old Quarter can be reached either with a 20-minute walk or by Tram, from the Guggenheim Museum.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
