Japan's cultural heritage and natural beauty come to life on this five-hour excursion that features a trio of attractions. Begin with a motorcoach drive to Usa City, where you'll discover the historic Usa Jingu Shrine. Marvel at the architecture that represents what is considered to be the first of over 40,000 Hachimangu Shrines across Japan. Then, visit Ajimu Budoshu Kobo (Ajimu Winery), nestled in a famous wine production area in Kyushu, which makes use of the topography of this misty basin. Stroll through the vineyards surrounded by tranquil nature and mountains and take a tour of the factory. You can also visit the shops to purchase wines that are available only here. Before returning to the port, stop to photograph one of Beppu's famous "Boiling Hells," Umi-Jigoku, where beautiful aquamarine waters create a little foot spa. Bring your own towel if you'd like to dip your toes in these therapeutic waters. Return to port with a camera filled with wonderful memories after this lovely day.
Special Notes:
Usaj Jingu Shrine is under renovation until the end of March 2025 and a building is partially covered. Guests need to negotiate steps and walk on gravel and uneven path at Usa Jingu Shrine. Also the main building of the Shrine is not accessible by wheelchair. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.If you wish to use a foot bath at the Boiling Hell, bring your own towel.
