Discover the top highlights of Belize City on a half-day narrated drive that showcases a variety of attractions that delve into this culturally diverse community that was once a British settlement. Board your motorcoach and settle in for a scenic drive. First, stop at the Baron Bliss Lighthouse, named after the man buried in a tomb near its base. Your guide will share the local legend and lore of the area as you pass by the affluent residential homes of the Governor's Mansion and Prime Minister's Estate. Step inside St. John's Cathedral, Central America's first Anglican church, built in 1812 by slaves using ballast bricks from ships and Belize's oldest surviving European building. Journey along Regent Street lined with heritage homes, admire the Supreme Courthouse and the iconic Swing Bridge, then climb aboard a mini-train ride that travels past displays that showcase the natural history of the country.
