Experience the historic splendor of a 1914 heritage steam locomotive, the newest attraction to the St. Nicholas Abbey Great House Plantation and Distillery, on this scenic and fun filled four hour adventure. You'll go clackity-clack across the tracks that cut through the 400-acre sugarcane plantation grounds and around a sparkling lake where a variety of migrating birds find shelter. Travel through a mature mahogany forest and culminate at Cherry Tree Hill, an elevated point offering breathtaking highland views of the island's rugged east coast. Disembark and explore St. Nicholas Abbey Great House, an impeccably restored architectural marvel, one of only three Jacobean Mansions remaining in the Western Hemisphere. Proceed out to the rum distillery, surrounded by exotic foliage and nestled on a picturesque gully. Here, you'll learn all about rum production and sample a few award-winning liquors. Conclude with a quick photo stop at one of the last functioning windmills on the island. Return to port.
