Bring your camera on this visually stunning adventure that celebrates the natural and creative beauty of the island. It's a 45-minute scenic drive to the Flower Forest Botanical Gardens. Engage in a guided tour that showcases the 53-acre grounds blooming with flowers and vegetation native to the Caribbean and Barbados and take in the views from the garden overlooking the verdant hills. Continue on to Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park to embark on the Signature Tram Tour. The electric tram ride sets off on a unique experience underground to admire the stalactites and stalagmites and dramatic waterfalls. Refresh with a light Barbadian snack at the onsite Green Monkey Bar & Grill, then continue on to Earthworks Pottery, a creative pottery production facility, to discover the exceptional red clay pieces made by local artisans which are available to purchase. Relax on the 45-minute return drive after this captivating day.
Special Notes:
There are elevators which take guests from the main building down to the cave interpretation center. Most areas are flat but with some being a combination of cobblestone, gravel and concrete. There are also some slight inclines, especially in the area of the nature trail. Light snack and refreshment is included, but more can be purchased from the shops or the bar and grill on location at Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park. This tour is not suitable for persons with mobility issues. It requires walking for an extended period of time and is not wheel chair accessible. There are lockers available for rent, and guests can purchase souvenirs from the gift shop. Photo packages with professional photos taken by eco-adventure park photographers on site are available for sale. Souvenirs and other memorabilia can be purchased from the Flower Forest and the Earthworks Pottery.Guests are asked to ensure that they be mindful of the greenspace of the eco-adventure park. There is no touching or breaking off of the formations within the cave. There is no littering. All bins are to be used to dispose of any trash. Wear comfortable walking shoes/sneakers. Free time is included for persons to browse the souvenir shop or make purchases from the Bar & Grill. Flash can be used inside of the cave. There are 54 steps on the nature trail. No camouflage is to be worn on the island.
