Kotor's well-preserved and restored medieval Old Town evokes a sense of Old World Europe. Soak up its ambience with a guided tour through the maze of cobblestone streets, past simple buildings topped with sepia-toned roofs, and lovely Romanesque churches as you learn the city's rich history as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A stop at the Maritime Museum reveals Kotor's naval history with displays of weapons, maps and more. From here, a short drive brings you to Perast, noted as Montenegro's best-preserved Baroque city, where you'll make a short boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks Isle, a man-made islet whose church welcomes you inside to view its art collection that includes The Death of the Virgin by 17th artist Tripo Kokolja. Finally, you'll return to Perast for a guided stroll before stopping at a lovely restaurant with picturesque sea views.
