Discover one of the world's most exciting cities on a design-your-own adventure. You set the pace while visiting the "Venice of the East" and choose the places you wish to see with ample time to wander from one intriguing site to another. Your first destination is the awe-inspiring Wat Po, one of the largest and oldest wats (temples) in Bangkok with more than 1,000 Buddha images, including the Reclining Buddha. Then, you're free to browse for souvenirs in the gift shop inside the temple before boarding your motorcoach for a drive to a drop-off point at Bangkok's Asia Hotel, which provides easy access to taxis, skytrain, river cruises, shops and restaurants. Some of the sights you can seek out include the Wat Suthat Temple, whose impressive bronze Buddha image stands over seven meters (25 feet) tall. The Grand Palace, an opulent 18th century royal complex, is another site worth visiting.
Special Notes:
Note: Shoes must be taken off before entering the temple's hall. Dress codes apply when visiting any temple in Thailand. No shorts, mini-skirt, sleeveless shirt/blouse or ripped clothing allowed. Asia hotel will be the drop-off & pick-up place.Details
