Enjoy an in-depth exploration of Thailand's capital city on an unforgettable all-day excursion that begins with a scenic drive to Bangkok. First on the itinerary is a stop at Wat Trimitr Temple, which houses the Golden Buddha, one of the world's largest statues of the Buddha, carved from solid gold. Next is a walking tour of Bangkok's Grand Palace, where you will discover the famed Wat Phra Kaeo, also known as the Royal Chapel of the Emerald Buddha. This is one of Buddhism's most magnificent monasteries and one of Thailand's most celebrated sites. At the heart of the monastery is a Buddha carved from a single piece of emerald-green jasper, perched atop a gilded pedestal. From here, you'll walk to the Chao Phraya River for a leisurely cruise down the canals followed by a buffet lunch at a local restaurant and free time to shop.
