Here's an adventure that offers a little bit of everything you're looking for while on vacation, intriguing sites, a taste of the local cuisine and shopping. Your full-day tour begins with a scenic, two-hour drive to Bangkok. Your first destination is the awe-inspiring Wat Po, one of Bangkock's largest and oldest temples. Founded in the 17th century, Wat Po is home to more than 1,000 Buddha images, as well as the Reclining Buddha. Browse for souvenirs in the temple's gift shop before lunch. Refreshed, you'll make your way to Wat Suthat, known for its seven-meter-tall (25-feet-tall) Buddha and cloisters lined with 156 gilded Buddha statues. Next you'll board a tuk tuk, a motorized rickshaw, and travel past Radchanadda Temple, best known for the Loha Prasat or Metal Castle and Makahan Fort, just one of the two remaining fortresses of medieval Bangkok.
