Settle into your luxury motorcoach and feel the excitement in the air as you travel 30 to 40 minutes into the heart of Athens. Along the way, your narrated drive will pass a host of major sites, which may include Hadrian's Arch, the statue of Lord Byron, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Constitution Square, the former Royal Palace, the National Gardens, the Academy, and the University Library. At the Panathenaic Stadium, built for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, a photo stop will be made, traffic permitting. Keep the camera at the ready for a stop at a dramatic low-angle viewpoint of the famous Acropolis and its Parthenon from below. Then, the motorcoach climbs to the highest point in the center of Athens, Lycabettus Hill. Ride a cable car to the highest summit of the city, marvel at the views that extend to the seaside and the Acropolis. Admire these stunning cityscapes and enjoy a refreshment (at your own expense). Descend via cable car, then complete your ride back to port.
Special Notes:
The tour involves approximately 140 steps at Lycabettus Hill. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Passengers with limited mobility should take this into consideration before taking this tour.Details
