Measuring only 1124 square kilometers in total area (434 square miles), Samoa's most populated island proves that big surprises come in small packages. And what better way to get to know this treasured isle than a day at Tafatafa Beach? Your sun-soaked adventure begins when you board your motorcoach for a scenic drive out of Apia along the East Coast, passing charming villages and sprawling cattle farms and up along the winding Le Mafa Pass, which boasts outstanding ocean views. A stop at the Falefa Waterfall offers wonderful views of gushing clear waters falling from the top of a cliff. Once you arrive at Tafatafa Beach, the day is yours to do as much or as little as you desire. Slip into the refreshing waters, stroll the powdery white sand and indulge in a coconut drink or local fresh fruit as you gaze out onto the beautiful ocean.

Note: Tourism is an important part of the economy, but is still considered a "growth industry." Hosts or hostesses, with general local knowledge, serve as tour guides. Due to limited availability of transport, all buses may not have air conditioning.Swimsuits can be worn under clothes, or bring swimsuits and beachwear along; the beach has very basic changing facilities. Don't forget a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Swimmers are encouraged to wear foot protection (reef shoes) for entering or exiting the water.
