Description
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Your half-day tour begins as you don rain gear, rubber boots and a life jacket. After a safety orientation, you'll board your vehicle for a scenic drive to the river.
Upon arriving, you'll embark on your float trip near the base of the Exit Glacier, one of the most accessible glaciers in southcentral Alaska that spills from the 5,000-foot high ramparts of the Harding Icefield onto the Resurrection River Valley floor. You're certain to be awestruck by its dense blue ice, and marvel at its deep blue crevasses and ice melt streams as you come face-to-face with this natural phenomenon. You'll witness how glaciers re-shape a landscape, and learn how plant life reclaims the barren, rocky land exposed by a glacier's retreat. Also within sight are expansive views of the Resurrection River Valley that can only seen on this eight-mile journey.
Keep your camera ready as rafts provide an ideal platform from which wildlife is easily observed and photographed in a silent and unobtrusive manner.
