Ocean views, mountains, and moose! Beginning at Kincaid Park, in the forested hills along Cook Inlet, enjoy a leisurely 9.5-mile guided bike ride along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Along the way, your guide will share Anchorage's natural and human history and the surrounding area. Kincaid Park is one of the largest parks within Anchorage, allowing you to experience the wild side of Alaska's largest city as it is home to snowshoe hairs, bald eagles, black bears, moose, and more! There are plenty of opportunities for photos along the way as this bike ride along the coast offers views of five different mountain ranges. In addition to Kincaid Park, you'll also visit Earthquake Park, where you'll bike through some of the lasting devastation from the 1964 Earthquake and end at Westchester Lagoon, a waterfowl sanctuary.
Special Notes:
Please do not reserve Land Excursions on the day of cruise tour arrival or departure, as there could be a conflict with air schedules.Tour begins at the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center, located at 600 W 7th Avenue in downtown Anchorage. Tour includes round-trip transportation from downtown Anchorage, high-quality bikes, helmets, biking gloves and rain gear. Participants must know how to ride a bike and be comfortable shifting gears and using handbrakes. Tour operates on paved bike trails with gentle grades. Wear closed-toe shoes (mandatory). Wear comfortable athletic clothing. Minimum age is 10 years. Minimum height is 4'7". Maximum weight is 275 lbs. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
