Discover the islands of Giske and Godoy, loaded with charm and history. Your adventure begins as you board your motorcoach at the pier and travel to the islands. Your journey will take you via a series of bridges and submarine tunnels, the longest of which is nearly 2.2 miles long! Soon you'll arrive on the island of Giske. Known as the 'Saga Island,' it's been inhabited since the Bronze Age. You'll get to view the picturesque white marble church built in the 12th century by the island's ruling family. Your next island stop is Godoy. You'll visit the island's northern coast, which boasts a charming lighthouse. Climb the 88 steps to the top for some stunning views of the sea, fjords and Alesund. Your final visit is to the neighbouring island of Hessa where you have a magnificent view of Ålesund from another direction. Before Midsummer you can see the ceremonial bonfire being built. Capture some last moments on your cameras before heading back to the ship.
