- King George Sound Cruise & Kalgan River Cruise
Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
Cruise from Emu Point Landing to the sheltered waters of Oyster Harbour and on to the ancient Kalgan River. Hear stories of Albany's history and colorful commentary on topics ranging from local birdlife to wildflowers and poetry. This river's estuary is home to a large population of birds, and some of the state's largest bream have been caught here. You may even get a chance to catch a sighting of the giant eagle ray, a cousin of the manta ray. The striking, spotted black-and-white ray has been known to grow up to 17 feet in length and weigh upwards of 500 pounds. They are known to leap out of the water on occasion, but are not aggressive. While cruising, enjoy Billy tea and damper bread, two traditional foods of the land down under.
