The Whitsundays boast an amazing array of soft coral gardens and marine life. With an average temperature of 73 °F in the winter and 84 °F in the summer it's the perfect spot for experienced and novice divers to jump in and explore. After a short transfer to nearby Port of Airlie, you'll join your skipper on board a high-speed motor-raft for a fast, exhilarating ride through the stunning Whitsunday Passage, the waterway that carves through the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, to either Black or Hook Island. Along the way, your onboard eco-guide will provide fascinating commentary about the reef's marine life, encouraging you to keep your eyes peeled for sea turtles. Once you arrive, you have the option of joining a guided snorkel along this spectacular reef in search of giant clams, colorful corals and exotic fish or relaxing on the white sand beach.
