Your journey begins with a look at Abu Dhabi's early history with a stop at Qasr Al Hosn, the oldest and most significant building in Abu Dhabi, which holds the city's first permanent structure; the watchtower. Built around the 1790's, the commanding structure overlooked the costal trade routes and protected the growing settlement established on the island. The Founders Memorial is your next destination. Spread over eight acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, it commemorates Sheikh Zayed's birth. Your final stop is Qasr Al Watan, which houses the formal offices of the UAE's President and Vice President and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. An inside tour reveals an opulent décor such as a chandelier with 350,000 pieces of crystal.
