Talk with your personal driver/guide to create a custom adventure that might include highlights such as the State Capitol Building and Russian Orthodox Church. Journey on to view and photograph the magnificent Mendenhall Glacier. Cross the bridge over to Douglas Island for breathtaking views of Juneau and your cruise ship. Or, visit the charming Shrine of St. Therese to explore the historic stone chapel and serene waterfront grounds. Special Notes:
Price is per vehicle - only one guest per party should book this excursion. We do not match independent passengers to create groups for private vehicles so your companions must be of your choosing. The van can accommodate up to 14 adults. Entrance fees are additional. Tour operator is authorized under special use permit to access the Tongass National Forest. A visit to the Mendenhall Glacier must include a guided-only hike to Nugget Falls. Guests must remain with guide the duration of spent at this location; there is no free time. A stop at the visitors center is allowed before or after the hike, which is approximately 45 minutes round trip depending on guest walking pace. In July/August there may be opportunity to walk the Steep Creek boardwalk trail; guide will advise if this is an option. Once onboard the ship, you'll be provided with a preference card to advise the Tour Office of your selected itinerary and interests.Due to the very limited capacity and highly specialized nature of this excursion, it is not refundable unless cancelled by 12:00pm on the day after embarkation.
